The program offered by Centre Pastel is a 4-days a week program, designed for children enrolled in home schooling. It is highly varied and focuses on sensory experiences linked to art and nature:

  • Visual arts (drawing, watercolor, form drawing, sculpting)
  • Handicrafts (knitting, sewing, gardening, wood working, cooking)
  • Physical activities (social games, hiking, nature walks, ice skating)
  • Music
  • Tales
  • Free imaginative play

Through the experiences and workshops offered, Centre Pastel helps the implementation of the parents’ learning project.

WHY CENTRE PASTEL

Centre Pastel is a learning center and social project that aims to help children up to the age of 10 year, to reach their full potential. This short period lays the foundation for lifelong health and wellbeing.

Like a tree in its seed stage, a young child needs enough time to grow its roots, and develop its strengths and uprightness. At Centre Pastel, just like in nature, we cherish childhood by offering a nuturing and intimate environment, in which the child can unfold and develop all their strength and full potential.

LIVING ART AT THE HEART OF LEARNING

Artistic education through experience.

At Centre Pastel, contact with nature and the arts is at the heart of experiential learning.

Humans connect with the world not only through thinking, but also through feeling and doing. The heart, in fact, lies on the path leading from the head to the hands.

DISCOVERY SATURDAYS!

Whether your child is enrolled in public, private or home school, he or she is welcome to take part in the Saturday Workshops offered throughout the year at Centre Pastel.

We recommend, in order to experience the activities fully, to register for several successive sessions.

Our offers includ watercolor painting, knitting, and tradition crafts.

RHYTHM IS THE KEY

At Centre Pastel, children experience a schedule that reflect their natural rhythm.

Thus, mornings, when children are most present, are devoted to intellectual subjects, while afternoons are reserved for physical movement, manual activities and free imaginative play.

Children learn with ease in an environment were days unfold in a familiar rhytm. This clarity and repetition of the daily structure allows the child to always predict what is coming next. The child feels secure and reassured in an environment like this, and can freely unfold their potential.
